Marriage on cards

My Friends (close and dear ones) always thought that I would be the very first bakra of this family natak and yes rightly said it is like convocation where guys losing his bachelor degree and girls achieve her master degree. Reason may be many, for them to think like this. For a time being, even I was fallen into this prey thinking of me being first bakra of our friend group but god is favoring me; I am not the first and also not like to be last bakra too.

Eye on every new girl, being more active in society parties, more calls to relatives, getting connected with far-known relatives, if get chance will browse photo album and ask in curiosity if any unknown girl pops out in pic….. Speed of Google result would be less than the search engine running in my family & close-first relative’s minds for searching suitable bride for me. Even matrimonial website has to think over before claiming themselves to be best and quickest match-maker.

But it seems like my mom, father, uncle, aunty, brother, sisters, relatives, grandma, close & dear friends are having different criteria or say different image for my bride. It is like in playing cards, joker is being matched with the ace card holder. Here too all my family members, friends, relatives are holding their trump card and I am being joker getting passed on and all are trying to make best match with their trump card.

Criteria or condition are like my mom wants her to be good nature and have respect for elders, dad wants to be from good upbringing, uncle wants her family to be financially strong, aunty wants her family background should match our status, brother wants family should have good business and of clean image, sisters wants her to be beautiful and fair colour, grandma wants her to be devotional, relatives wants her to active in many things (be it cooking, painting, etc.), and my close & dear friends wants her to be perfect match.

Just imagine, god listening to all these criteria and pleased enough to grant all wishes. I am very clear that I don’t want to be another panchchali (male version) of this modern era, getting married with five different gals satisfying one or other criteria for a perfect bride.

It is man who likes to be cuddling and getting cozy with as many as girls as he can on sofa but then I am well-versed with Govinda - Anil situation in movies (Thanks to Bollywood for educating to tackle such situation). My situation would be worst than SANDWICH and I would be running between GHARWALI BAHARWALI.

I would also like to imagine an image of a girl satisfying all criteria set by my family members, relatives and friends. Very first thought comes is KYA MAST HOGI YAAR! , then I AM LUCKIEST PERSON ON EARTH, then WOW! WHAT A LIFE IT WOULD BE! , then slowly WILL THAT GIRL ACCEPT ME? , then finally DOES SUCH GIRL EXIST? ……

Above all and but obvious I will be very surprised if any such girl passes all such condition filter so called created in minds, still final decision holds on my BIG “YES” or HUGE “NO”.

Feeling in LOVE

It was and is not a dream
An angel came to me
Face so glowing
Eyes so sparkling
Dress studded with stars
Crown shining with moon arch

She sat beside me
And her soft hands hold me
Together we flew so high
Thru the clouds and blue sky
To the new world so beautiful
Wonderful and more colourful

Garden is greener than been ever
Rose never seen much rosier
Silver lining on grass top over
Nightingale voice is sweeter than anyone hear
Lovebirds chirping here and there
Dolphin flapping to music of water

Under the soothing golden ray
We dance with colours of rainbow
Singing, enjoying
And cuddling in each other arms
Her tender hug and gentle kiss
Gave me the feeling of eternal bliss

She made me feel so special
Divine and so lovable
My world and myself
got new essence of life
When her lovely lips
Whispered to me “I LOVE YOU”

It was and is not a dream
An angel came to me
Face so glowing
Eyes so sparkling
Dress studded with stars
Crown shining with moon arch

Same RAIN - I love & I hate

My mobile is set to sing “It’s my life” at 6 AM; me feeling lazy to wake up, press snooze and back to sleep. At 6:15 AM “It’s my life” again. I too reply back to my mobile “yeah it’s my life, now let me sleep” and press snooze. This continue one more time at 6:30 AM, I felt like thank god I am not married yet, else what would happen if my wife nag me like this and in frustration I shout “It’s my life”. But I have to wake up to work for kale kuave and meet many Moti and bhaisan which is our motivations in office.

Eyes are not open yet and I can hear tumbling sound of water on the terrace, trees are whistling and cool breeze. I can sense and feel. It is raining. Very first thought comes to mind is “Oh no, 150 bucks gone in air for auto just like puff from cigarette”. My nephew came dancing and singing because schools have declared holiday due to heavy rains. I complain why companies don’t declare holiday for us too. After all, company pays us and nephew pays to school.

Auto is one of the dangerous rides in city. Autowalas drive as if they are in Formula 1 track. Autowala with large moustache looks more like Local Gunda, Rowdy, and Rascalana. I am sure if this guy clean shaves his face, his wife won’t recognize him. What on earth inspired him for such mammoth style?

Marathon traffic makes me feel far yet nearer to office. Honking, motorcyclist scrolling their way like snake in between, and Masha Allah what to say about cyclist; they will carry cycle on shoulders and walk on jade way. Are they trying to prove that they have a bit element of Shaktiman? Pedestrians walk on road as if road is not road but footpath and other vehicle have to beg literally for way to move forward. And what else to add more agony, we have to see traffic mamu standing and looking Left-Right-Left as if he came here for sight seeing.

20 mins drive from my home to office on bike took almost 1 hour to reach office. “Gud morning Sir, I would be late by 10-15 mins due to rain and traffic.” was message I have typed and sent to my boss who again had forwarded same to his boss without editing. It was like “FYI” game in email; we all do in corporate mail.

Whole day, it was raining heavily. It is not that I have problem of getting wet while going home; actual and real problem is lake, swimming pool, ground water on road and phuwara peechkari of it will create nice design on shirt which guarantees of no colour loss while washing. I will kill Ariel if they come to me and say “Daag Acche Hai” & Surf Excel Blue “Red ko rakhe Red aur blue ko rakhe blue”; what the hell blue shirt is blue when it has brown colour dots design promises to be with you forever. It is not “Diamond Forever” but “Daag Forever”.

Is it I have forgotten the fun, excitement, aroma, masti, raindrops on face, etc which I use to do during my earlier life? This corporate life has made me so practical, materialistic and detached from nature. Corporate has entangled me with certain code of conduct. At end, I miss all that masti in rain. It is same rain I love and I hate.

Tere bigar mai na jee paoga, aise hi marr jaoga, meri maa

Nanhe nanhe nagmo mai, bahake bahake kadamo se mai aage chala,
Tujhse door hokar, himmat karke maine alvida kaha.
Mujh par beetin hui, kisko sunao, rehta ho jo mai akela
apne hi ghar mai, ghair bana diya hai, meri maa

Raat ke andhero mai, chadhar oodhe mai rehta saema sa
Kisko pukaro kisko bolo darr hai jo mujhe lagta

Phir bhi jodhta ho, akele mai deta ho khudko dilasa,
teri tasveer ko dekh kar chup ho jata hoon, meri maa

Mere liye wo apne the, phir kyun mili mujhe yeh sila
apno ne hi zindagi ke safar mai, mera saath chod diya
apne hi ghar mai, gootha hoon jo roz mai akela
kuch nahi kehta par andar hi andar mai bikar jata hoon, meri maa

Khud se door karke, kya mila mujhe tu bata, meri maa
Tu bhi roothi hogi, mere liye tarasti hogi na, meri maa
Mai galat ho tho mujhse root jaana, mujhse baat mat karna, meri maa
Par Agle janam mai mujhe khudse door mat karna, meri maa
Tere bigar mai na jee paoga, aise hi marr jaoga, meri maa
